Mediation is a settlement process that brings parties together to voluntarily resolve their differences through confidential discussion and problem solving. The mediator is a neutral party who helps guide and facilitate the parties by helping them:
Mediation services require an initial individual interview to the proponent party and a second individual interview to the required party, before a joint session is held.
Invoices are paid in full by mediating participants after each session, where generally each party assumes 50% of total fees. We require retainer.
ADVANTAGES OF MEDIATION
• expedited procedure,
• non-adversarial,
• voluntary,
• informal,
• confidential and private,
• less expensive than an ordinary procedure in a court of law (in terms of length and fees)
• facilitated by a neutral interventor (the mediator),
• to reach a mutually satisfactory agreement, with the same legal force as a contract.
